Why I built LearnDrills

Hi, I'm a dad of two.

The school my children attend doesn't assign homework, and students aren't allowed to bring their textbooks home every day. Because of that, I had no way of knowing what they were learning at school, or how I could help them study at home.

Watching their grades continue to decline made me realize I couldn't just sit back and hope things would get better. So I decided to solve this problem myself. That's how LearnDrills began.

What started as a solution for my own children has now become something I hope can help families everywhere.

Today, both of my children use LearnDrills every day to review what they're learning in school. They use it completely on their own, so they don't need my help. All I have to do is sit beside them while they work, and AI handles the explaining when they get something wrong. For our family, studying at home has become much simpler, and much less stressful.

I didn't build LearnDrills to start a company. I built it because my own children needed it first. If it can help your family too, then everything I've done has been worthwhile.

Finally, I have one sincere wish. I hope the major AI companies will one day build a free educational version made specifically for kids under 18, one that can actually show a number line, a shape, a diagram, a line or bar graph, a table, a map, a coordinate plane, and the figures and formulas that physics and chemistry need, not just describe them in words. Every child deserves the chance to learn, ask questions, and discover the world through knowledge, regardless of their family's circumstances. I hope AI can become a bridge that helps more children, especially the ones who are hungry to learn and don't have much else, get a better education.
